The Moon Garden Kantha Throw

Regular price £145.00
Taxes included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

Layers of soft cotton, hand-stitched in the kantha tradition with rows of small, even running stitches that hold the cloth together and give it that gently quilted, lived-in feel.

The Moon Garden throw has an earthy, textured taupe background, scattered with a monochrome floral print in inky black and soft charcoal. A quiet, neutral palette that settles easily into almost any room.

Light enough to carry through every season, this cotton kantha throw drapes well over the back of a sofa, folds at the foot of a bed for a layered look or comes out on the evenings that ask for something soft over your knees. A sofa throw and a bed throw in one.

Because each throw is stitched by hand, no two are quite alike. Small variations in the stitching and the print are the mark of the maker's hands, the thing that makes your throw one of a kind, and yours alone.

FAQS

What is a kantha throw?

Kantha is a centuries-old stitching tradition in which layers of soft cotton are quilted together with fine rows of running stitch. It's what gives this throw its gentle texture and quiet, lived in weight.

What is the Moon Garden Kantha Throw made from?

It's made from 100% cotton, hand-stitched in small batches. The ground is a textured taupe, printed with a monochrome floral design in black and charcoal.

Can I use it on both a sofa and a bed?

Yes. It looks lovely draped over the back of a sofa or folded across the end of a bed for a layered look, and its lightweight weave suits it to year-round use.

Is every throw the same?

No — each is stitched by hand, so the print placement and stitching vary very slightly from piece to piece. Those small differences are the mark of the human hand, and they make every throw one of a kind.
