An antique French basket, woven in willow with twisted handles at each end. The weave has mellowed to a warm, faded honey over years of use, deeper in some places than others, with the soft give and character that only comes with age.
This would be ideal for logs by the fire or throws and blankets in a sitting room. Steady enough to hold plenty, light enough to move from room to room. One of a kind, with the wear and colour of a long working life, and yours to look after next.
